Experience Bordeaux from the bike saddle on a journey through some of France's most famous wine regions.

You will cycle on quiet country roads and bike paths between vineyards, wineries, and small villages, with stages through Médoc, Margaux, Pomerol, and Saint-Émilion. Along the way, historic towns, wine châteaux, river landscapes, and local culinary experiences await.

One of the highlights of the trip is the ferry ride across the Gironde estuary to the historic fortress town of Blaye. The trip concludes in Bordeaux – a lively city with beautiful architecture, pleasant squares, and a rich selection of restaurants.

You simply enjoy the Bordeaux area at your own pace.

The tour spans 7 days with 6 nights of accommodation, and starts whenever you wish from April to mid-October. Easy arrival with direct flights to Bordeaux.

This trip is suitable for those who want to combine cycling with great food and wine experiences, culture, and beautiful landscapes. The routes follow quiet roads and cycle paths through gently rolling terrain, and are well suited for most people with normal fitness.

The daily stages vary from approx. 25 to 50 km, which allows plenty of time for breaks along the way. Have a coffee in a small square, visit a wine chateau, or stroll through the narrow streets of Saint-Émilion before cycling on.

If you wish to extend your stay, we highly recommend an extra night in Bordeaux. The city has a lot to offer, whether you want to visit museums, explore the old town, or end your journey with a nice meal at one of the many restaurants.

Then you follow roads through the wine regions of Côtes de Blaye, Bordeaux, and Bordeaux Supérieur, before the route continues along the Route de la Corniche. The road winds along the river through a landscape of vineyards, oak trees, palm trees, and pink oleander.

Today's destination is Bourg-sur-Gironde, a small medieval village surrounded by ancient city walls. Feel free to take a stroll through the narrow streets before today's stage ends.
