Italy 2026 – Trude & Roger on wheels with the gang

The Adriatic Coast by Bike – Trude and Roger's Friend Trip 2026

Cycling holiday in Italy with a combination of cycling, swimming and great meals

There will be laughter, thigh muscles and long lunches when this group heads towards the Adriatic coast. For what do you get when you combine cycling, wine, friendship and warmth? A week you will hardly want to return home from. Here, flat stages, lovely hills and medieval towns with history in their walls await you – all right outside the hotel door. Urbino (UNESCO), San Marino and Mondaino are on the menu, together with sun, beach and a healthy dose of Italian joie de vivre.

Bicycle hotel with full service

Right between the regions of Marche and Emilia Romagna lies Gabicce Mare – a cozy little town that has laid everything out for an optimal cycling holiday!

We live at Hotel Alexander 4**** in the coastal town of Gabicce Mare – a very nice family-run hotel that is well located a short distance from the beach, with a super kitchen and personal service. Here you will find their own guides and mechanics, secure bicycle parking and great bikes from Bianchi (road, e-bike, gravel, etc.).

In other words, everything is set for a week of activity, fun and a great atmosphere – together with the group!

Medieval towns, trattoria lunches and beach break

The rolling landscape of Marche and Emilia Romagna is perfect for cycling trips – with quiet roads and beautiful views. Along the way, we pedal through small medieval towns such as Saludecio, San Leo, Mondaino, Urbino (UNESCO) and the Republic of San Marino. A good lunch at a local trattoria is always a highlight. And if we are back at the hotel early enough, it is fully possible to relax in a sun lounger on the beach before dinner is served. Just the way we like it.
