Camp Norway with Expa Travel
Camp Norway is community, flags, and true sporting joy
We travel to where Norway competes – from the Olympics to the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia – to cheer, experience, and share moments you will never forget.
What is Camp Norway
Camp Norway is our very own concept for supporter trips at home and abroad – with true community, Norwegian flags, and a solid cheering crowd!
We travel to where Norway competes, whether it is the Olympics, Tour de France, Giro d’Italia, or other major championships, and gather the participants in one place – in our own "camp". This creates a sense of community, atmosphere, and memories you don't get on ordinary trips.
The concept was established during the Torino 2006 Olympics, when we gathered over 600 Norwegians in a unique supporter camp at the Colle don Bosco monastery. Sport-wise, it might not have been peak performance for Norway – but Camp Norway was a huge success! Groups of friends, businesses, and solo travelers shared experiences, Italian food from our own team of chefs, and live music from Norwegian artists.
At the 2010 Vancouver Olympics (when we were called Explore Arcadia), we brought 275 Norwegian supporters with us to Whistler – right in the heart of the skiing events. With Norwegian gold medals in quick succession and hospitable hosts, the atmosphere became exactly as great as we dreamed of.
Since then, Camp Norway has been part of several major sporting events – from alpine skiing and cross-country skiing to cycling races like the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia. Common to all the trips is the unique combination of sports, the joy of travel, and genuine Expa community.
Camp Norway was established in connection with the XX Olympic Winter Games in Torino, and is today a part of Expa Travel.
