In May 2027, there will be a new Italian adventure, to the Mediterranean's largest island: Sicily!
There are so many reasons to visit Sicily. This beautiful island has an incredible amount to offer: everything from a rich history, lovely small villages, fantastic beaches to exquisite food & wine, as well as a wonderful atmosphere both in the towns and by the sea.
Idyllic Taormina, the town with a very special atmosphere, is situated 200 meters up on a hillside. With fantastic views over the sea, the bay, Mount Etna, and the islands below – pure magic!
In the streets of Taormina, you will find narrow alleys, bustling life, small squares, cozy restaurants, and small shops.
We will stay in a nice hotel located just below Taormina, within walking distance of the beach. Only a few minutes to the cable car that takes us up to the center of Taormina. A very good starting point for training, sun & swimming, excursions, and shopping!
The program includes both fun and challenging workouts, but also time to enjoy the beach, sun & swimming, and the opportunity to explore beautiful Taormina.
Most of the training will take place on the hotel's large roof terrace. Here there is plenty of space both in the open air and under cover. Some of the sessions will probably also be on the beach, followed by a swim!
One of the days we will walk up to the town of Castelmola, which is located above Taormina. A special, small town at the top of the mountain. On the second excursion day, we take a bus up to the volcano Mount Etna, almost 1800 meters above sea level. All the way up to Europe's most active volcano. The volcano that dominates this entire part of Sicily. A powerful feeling to drive up across the lava field.
We also visit the private vineyard of a Swedish couple, who realized their dream of a vineyard in Italy. Leif and Lena will show us around the small vineyard and tell their story. Tasting and a light lunch around the long table on the terrace.
It is guaranteed to be exciting and active days, we are sure that this trip will be an experience!

We start the day at 08:00 (before breakfast) with Yoga / Stretching. We gather on the roof terrace and "yoga" while the sun rises. If the weather is nice, we walk down the stairs to the beach and end the session with a morning swim.
Tip! If you have a yoga mat or similar, please bring it.
After breakfast, at approx. 10:30, we meet in the reception for a walk up to Castelmola. It is about 5 km up to the mountain village, lots of uphill and many stairs.
On the piazza in the small mountain village, it quickly feels as if you are standing on top of "the world". Below you have Taormina and Isola Bella, on the horizon the contours of the mighty volcano Mount Etna, and on the other side you can see the long coastline northwards towards the Strait of Messina.
We stroll around the town on our own before we gather for lunch in a local trattoria (included).
On the way back, you choose whether you want to walk all the way down to the hotel and perhaps stop to look around in Taormina, or if you would rather take the local bus back to Taormina. From Taormina, you take the cable car down to the hotel.
At 17:30 we gather for a new joint training session.
Dinner this evening is on your own (not included).

Those who wish to start the day early with a morning dip in the pool / sea.
At 08:00 (before breakfast) we gather for a joint Yoga / Stretching session on the hotel's rooftop terrace or on the beach.
We meet again after breakfast, at 10:30, for a joint circuit training session.
Afterwards, you have free time for sunbathing, swimming, eating, shopping and enjoying. Lunch on your own (not included).
At 17:00 we meet for a training session focusing on cardio/strength.
Dinner on your own (not included).

At 11:00 After breakfast and a morning swim, we meet for departure to the Strumbarello winery. We will be picked up by minibus.
The Swedish couple Lena and Leif have invited us to their home, giving us a private tour of the idyllic landscape of the Sicilian countryside. Leif shows us around the vineyard and Lena prepares a light lunch which she serves around the long table. Here we taste the estate's wines and enjoy the food!
Afternoon/evening on your own. Dinner is not included on this day.

At 10:30. Another opportunity for a wonderful workout. This time Tabata intervals.
Free time to enjoy the sun, swim, eat, shop and just relax. Lunch not incl.
At 17:00 we meet for a training session of about 30 minutes focusing on cardio/strength.
Joint dinner at 19:00. We gather in reception for a joint departure to the cable car for dinner in Taormina.

This day we start with Yoga at 07:30.
We gather again after breakfast, at 09:30, for an exciting excursion up to the volcano Mount Etna. The bus transport up to approx. 1600 meters above sea level takes about 1.5 hours. The trip takes us up winding roads through a spectacular landscape where the road passes through several huge fields of lava from Mount Etna's many eruptions over millennia.
When we reach the highest point for the bus, we set off on foot and continue to some of the smaller craters along the mountainside. We expect a hike of about 2 – 4 hours (depending on wishes / weather conditions), before we return to the bus to drive on to today's lunch spot: Rifugio Ragabo (included).
Dinner on your own this evening (not included).
