Networking trip with SpareBank 1 Forvaltning – On a Vespa around Lago Maggiore

Day 1Arrival Lago Maggiore

Arrival Milan Malpensa. Private transport awaits at the airport. Expect about an hour's transfer to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel and some time to look around before we meet in the bar for a welcome drink before dinner (included).

Dinner is served in the hotel restaurant at 20.00.

Day 2Visit to the Travaglini winery in Gattinara

Easy morning with the option of a morning swim and some relaxation on the beach before departure to the winery for a guided tour and tasting (included). We set course for one of the most noble wine regions in all of Italy; Gattinara. At the Travaglini winery in Gattinara, we get a guided tour and lunch with wine tasting. Fantastic winery with top wines!

We expect to be back at the hotel in the early afternoon. Opportunity for a nice hike in the mountains close to the hotel.

Joint dinner at the hotel restaurant in the evening (included).

Day 3Vespa trip to, among others, Mottarone and idyllic Lago Orta

Those who wish can start the day with a refreshing morning swim.

Breakfast and joint review of today's Vespa excursion. We start with a short briefing and a short round of test driving the Vespas. We set aside plenty of time so everyone can arrange rental agreements and get a practical briefing before we head out on the trip. We also go through driving rules and how to travel safely in traffic – simple, useful, and quickly done.

Once we are ready and comfortable behind the handlebars, we head towards the towns of Baveno and Stresa. From here, we turn off and drive up the Mottarone mountain. There will be several photo stops along the way, fantastic nature! Views of the Swiss Alps in the north, Lago Maggiore and Lago Varese.

After the obligatory stop at the top of Mottarone, we turn down towards the next lake – Lago Orta. This is a truly magical place that attracts many visitors during the tourist season. We drive almost all the way down to the lake, where we park the Vespas for sightseeing in the old town on foot. The town's piazza is located right by the small harbor. Notice the scenery around the lake!

On the way back to the hotel, we stop at an agriturismo for a delicious farm lunch (included). Everything served is produced at/by the restaurant.

After lunch, the tour continues down from the mountain and further back to Lago Maggiore. We pass, among other things, the town of Verbania before we are back at the hotel. Opportunity for relaxation on the beach or by the pool before dinner.
Right next to the hotel there are nice hikes for those who might want to go for a walk in the mountains just above the hotel.

Day 4Boat trip on Lago Maggiore / Lunch on Isola dei Pescatori / Journey home

The day starts with a morning swim for those who wish.

After a relaxing breakfast, we gather on the pier before boarding our own private motorboat for sightseeing on Lago Maggiore. You choose whether you want to drive yourself or have a tour leader with you (not included).
The destination is the islands of Isola dei Pescatori and Isola Bella. The noble Borromeo family has, ever since the Middle Ages, had great influence in the area around Lago Maggiore. These islands have been important to the Borromeo family since medieval times. It is possible to visit, among other things, the palace and the exotic garden (recommended), before it is time for a wonderful lunch at a cozy restaurant (included).

After lunch, we head back to the hotel. Joint transfer to the airport (included).
