Sprek Gym – The Brenta Dolomites & Lake Garda 2026

Sprek Fitness Center invites you to a new activity week in 2026 - in Italy!

Note! This is a booked trip, and is therefore only for members of Sprek Treningssenter.

Approx. one hour north of Lake Garda lies the legendary alpine town of Madonna di Campiglio. Surrounded by the mighty Brenta Dolomites. And in this spectacular landscape, we will hike and stay overnight – for 2 days! Landscapes between 2,000 – 3,000 meters above sea level.
We will hike from hut to hut and spend the nights at high altitude. Along the way, we will also climb some spectacular Via Ferratas.

After a few days in the mountains, the journey continues down to Lake Garda. There, wonderful days in Riva del Garda await – days filled with training, sun & swimming. One of the days we will cycle to a nearby vineyard for lunch and tasting…

We are aiming for another week in spectacular nature, with magical experiences, Italian food and wine, and opportunities for both training and relaxation. Just look forward to recharging your energy, lots of socializing, active days, and a great atmosphere!

Many opportunities for activities both on water and on land

Riva del Garda is located in an area that offers endless opportunities for exciting activities, both on land and on water. Surrounded by the majestic Dolomites and always close to beautiful Lake Garda, this is a perfect place for an active holiday week.

Sprek's own instructor has planned fun workouts featuring strength, conditioning, mobility, and relaxation – or a combination of these, and they will be adapted so that everyone can participate and perform at their own level.

For those who wish, there are opportunities for excursions such as an MTB bike trip down from Monte Tremalzo. You can also try Canyoning (gorge walking) down waterfalls and cascades in the beautiful Ledro Valley. These activities, if chosen, are not included in the price.

What is Via Ferrata?

During the First World War, iron paths were built in the mountains in Italy for the first time, and these iron paths were then called Via Ferrata, hence the name. The routes on these rock faces are equipped with fixed safety devices such as steel cables, brackets, ladders, and bridges along the entire route or parts of the stage. With the help of helmets and harnesses, we can climb the mountain in the safest and most predictable way possible, without needing to possess climbing skills or climbing knowledge. Normally good fitness and motor skills are usually enough to walk a Via Ferrata. A guided tour on a Via Ferrata with climbing harnesses offers the chance to experience a fantastic adventure on the rock face.


NB! Should you not wish to climb Via Ferrata, there are good alternative paths available. If this is relevant, we may divide the group into two on these days. 

Quick facts about the trip

We fly with Norwegian from Værnes to Milan Malpensa. From the airport, the journey goes directly north to Madonna di Campiglio. From there, we take a cable car/Jeep up to a mountain cabin for an overnight stay. 
The next few days feature wonderful hikes in the spectacular Brenta Dolomites, with overnight stays at mountain cabins over 2000 meters above sea level. The hikes are on nice trails with a mix of paths and fantastic Via Ferratas. Hilly, without being extremely demanding, so anyone with normally good fitness can manage this. 
Basic accommodation in multi-bed rooms at the mountain cabins. Good toilet and shower facilities, as well as a good restaurant at the cabins.

On day three, we are transported down to Lake Garda (approx. 1.5 hours).  Here we will have four days of training and activities, as well as the opportunity for sun & swimming. A great hotel located within walking distance of Lake Garda. 
The training sessions are outdoors and are designed so that everyone can participate, regardless of fitness level or ambition.
In addition to the training, there are plenty of opportunities for hiking and biking in the local area. You can do this on your own or together with the group / others in the group.

Most things are included in the price of this trip, such as return flights, all transfers according to the program, all accommodation, local mountain guides, all training sessions with a PT, as well as 7 x breakfasts, 4 x dinners, and 2 x picnic lunches. What is additional are the remaining lunches and dinners, as well as any activities outside the program.

Day 1Arrival Day / Overnight stay in a mountain hut in the Brenta Dolomites

We fly from Trondheim Airport Værnes and land at Malpensa, Milan at 13:20.
After arriving in Malpensa, there will be a transfer from the airport to the mountain village of Madonna di Campiglio. A short stop along the way for a light lunch (not included).
Once in Madonna di Campiglio, you will meet the local mountain guides who will show you around the mountains over the next few days. You pack so that what you need for these days goes into your small backpack. The guides will take care of the slightly larger luggage.
Then there is transport by jeep up to the mountain hut where we check in. The local guides give a brief briefing and review of the program for the next few days, before a shorter “warm-up tour” in the area around the mountain hut is scheduled.

An exciting day awaits! After breakfast, our local guides give a brief briefing and review of today's program. We will explore the spectacular Brenta Dolomites!
The hike is mostly on trails. Even though many of the mountain peaks around you are around 3500 m.a.s.l., today's stage stays at roughly the same altitude all the way: between 2000 – 2500 m.a.s.l.
Along the way, we tackle several Via Ferratas, where you will be slightly challenged with regard to the altitude. The mountain guides give a thorough briefing before each Via Ferrata, and climb together with the group. And of course we wear the necessary equipment for safety. The Via Ferratas we will climb are relatively easy technically, and therefore require no prior knowledge. However, it can be helpful to be comfortable with heights. Just enjoy the surroundings, it is beautiful wherever you turn.

Lunch, meaning the packed lunch we bring (included), is eaten in an appropriate place along the way, most likely at a mountain hut.

After a full day in the mountains you arrive at today's mountain hut, where you get assigned a bed.
After-hike and relaxation before a well-deserved dinner in very special surroundings (included).
We bet everyone sleeps well tonight, full of fresh mountain air, a sense of achievement and wonderful experiences.

After a good breakfast and a cup of coffee, you will go through today's route together with the local guides. You have several options and choose a path based on the weather, but also based on the experiences made the day before.
The plan is for you to walk up some of the surrounding mountain passes, where you can see over to the next valley. There are several mountain huts in the area, and several different Via Ferratas to choose from if you wish.
The guides might split the group in two, where those who want to can try a new Via Ferrata, and the rest of the group chooses a stage without Via Ferrata.
Regardless of the route choice, you will eventually walk down past some spectacular waterfalls on the way to the parking lot in Vallesinella.
Here our transfer bus awaits to drive us down to Riva del Garda. The packed lunch is eaten at a suitable place along the way (included).

Late afternoon we are back in “civilization” and check in to our hotel in Riva del Garda.
Dinner on your own (not included).

Before breakfast, at 08:00, we gather in the park area by the lake for a joint workout session. There are plenty of opportunities for both Yoga and other workout sessions here. Remember to bring your own yoga mat or similar.

Then there is free time up until 17:00. This can be used for sun & swimming, or independent activities such as hiking in the local area. 

At 17:00 we gather for a step and strength workout session, led by Spreks' PT.

Day 7Morning Session / Bike Excursion to a Vineyard / Step & Strength Session

After a cup of coffee, we gather for a joint Yoga session at 08:00.
After breakfast, we go on a joint bike excursion to a nearby vineyard (not included). There we will have a guided tour, tasting and a light lunch. We ride e-bikes and follow the bike path along the river inland into the valley – great trip!
Upon registration, you choose if you want to join the bike excursion to the vineyard (additional price (bike rental, guided tour and light lunch with wine tasting)). The bike ride is approx. 50 km in relatively flat terrain.
If you do not wish to join the bike ride, it will be a day with free time in Riva del Garda. 

Once back at the hotel, there will be another workout session.

Joint farewell dinner at a local restaurant (included).

Upon registration, you choose if you want to join the bike excursion to the vineyard (additional price (bike rental, guided tour and light lunch with wine tasting)). The bike ride is approx. 50 km in relatively flat terrain.
If you do not wish to join the bike ride, it will be a day with free time in Riva del Garda. 

Once back at the hotel, there will be another workout session.

Joint farewell dinner at a local restaurant (included).
