Day 1Arrival Lago Maggiore

Your tour leader will meet you at the airport in Milan. We should expect a transfer time of about one hour to the hotel. Lunch is not included on this day.
Check-in at the hotel upon arrival, followed by a brief briefing and possibly a short test ride on the bikes.

Later, we meet in the hotel bar for a pleasant welcome aperitif (included).
Dinner is served in the hotel restaurant at 20:00 (included).

Day 2Cycling excursion to Mottarone and idyllic Lake Orta, among others

Those who wish can start the day with a refreshing morning swim in Lake Maggiore.
Breakfast and a joint review of today's cycling excursion.

Today, we head towards the towns of Baveno and Stresa. From here, we turn off and cycle up the Mottarone mountain. There will be several photo stops along the way, fantastic nature! Views of the Swiss Alps in the north, Lake Maggiore, and Lake Varese.
At the highest point of the trip, in the town of Gignese, we stop for a wonderful lunch at a local Osteria (included). After lunch, we will see whether we continue down the other side to Lake Orta, or whether we cycle straight back to Lake Maggiore.

Opportunity for relaxation on the beach or by the pool before dinner.
Right near the hotel, there are fine hiking options for those who might wish to go for a walk in the mountains just above the hotel.

A pleasant, joint dinner in the hotel restaurant in the evening (included).

Day 3Cycling excursion along Lake Maggiore

Those who wish can start the day with a refreshing morning swim.
Breakfast and a joint review of today's cycling excursion.

We choose the route based on our daily form. Perhaps we will cycle north along the lake towards the Swiss border, where we will have lunch in one of the cozy towns along the lake (included). With e-bikes, there is also the option to cycle up into the mountains on fun roads with panoramic views.

A pleasant, joint dinner in the hotel restaurant in the evening (included).

Day 4Boat trip on Lake Maggiore, with lunch on Isola dei Pescatori

The day starts with a morning swim for those who wish.

After a relaxing breakfast, we gather at the pier before boarding our own, private motorboat for sightseeing on Lake Maggiore. The destinations are the islands of Isola dei Pescatori and Isola Bella.

The noble Borromeo family has, ever since the Middle Ages, had a great influence in the area around Lake Maggiore. These islands have been important to the Borromeo family since medieval times. There is an opportunity to visit, among other things, the palace and the exotic garden (recommended), before it is time for lunch at a pleasant restaurant (included).

After lunch, we cruise back to the hotel. The afternoon is free for sunbathing & swimming at the hotel's own beach.

Day 5Visit to the Travaglini winery in Gattinara / Overnight stay in Milan

Easy morning with the option for a morning swim before we check out of the hotel and pack our luggage in the bus.
Departure at 09:00 from the hotel.
Today, we head towards one of the most noble wine regions in all of Italy; Gattinara. At the Travaglini winery in Gattinara, we will have a guided tour and lunch with wine tasting (included). Fantastic winery with top wines!

From the winery, we drive directly to the center of Milan for an overnight stay in the metropolis of Milan. Afternoon in Milan for sightseeing and dinner on your own (not included).

Day 6Milan on your own / Homeward journey

This day is on your own - enjoy Milan!
