With Nordea on a Vespa around Lake Maggiore

Day 1Arrival Lago Maggiore

Lunch on your own this day (not included). Check-in at the hotel upon arrival, followed by a brief briefing and a short test ride on the Vespas.
We set aside plenty of time so that everyone can sign rental contracts and get a practical overview before we head out on the road.
We also go through driving rules and how to navigate safely in traffic – simple, useful, and quickly done.

Once we are ready and comfortable behind the handlebars, we take a short, leisurely evening ride to get familiar with both the Vespa and the area around the hotel.

Later, we meet in the hotel bar for a pleasant welcome aperitif.
Dinner is served in the hotel restaurant at 20:00 (included).

Day 2Vespa ride to Mottarone and idyllic Lago Orta

Those who wish can start the day with a refreshing morning swim.
Breakfast and a joint review of today's Vespa excursion.

Today, the route goes towards the towns of Baveno and Stresa. From here, we turn off and drive up onto mount Mottarone. There will be several photo stops along the way, fantastic nature! Views of the Swiss Alps in the north, Lago Maggiore and Lago Varese.
After the mandatory stop at the top of mount Mottarone, we head down towards the next lake – Lago Orta. This is a truly magical place that attracts many visitors during the tourist season.

We drive almost all the way down to the lake and park the Vespas to go on foot for sightseeing in the old town. The town's piazza is located right by the small harbor. Notice the scenery surrounding the lake!

On the way back to the hotel, we stop at a very nice restaurant with delicious food and a fantastic view across Lago Maggiore (included).
After lunch, the journey continues down from the mountain and back towards Lago Maggiore. We pass through the town of Verbania among others, before we are back at the hotel and return the Vespas.

Opportunity to relax on the beach or by the pool before dinner.
Right by the hotel, there are fine hiking opportunities for those who might want to go for a walk in the mountains just above the hotel.

A pleasant, joint dinner in the hotel restaurant in the evening (included).

Day 3Visit to the Travaglini winery in Gattinara

Easy morning with the option for a morning swim and some relaxation on the beach before the excursion.
Today, the route is set for one of the most noble wine regions in all of Italy; Gattinara. At the Travaglini winery in Gattinara, we will have a guided tour and lunch with wine tasting (included). Fantastic winery with top wines!

We expect to be back at the hotel in the early afternoon.
Opportunity for hiking in the mountains near the hotel.

Joint dinner in the hotel restaurant (included).

Day 4Boat trip on Lago Maggiore / Lunch on Isola dei Pescatori / Journey home

The day starts with a morning swim for those who wish.

After a relaxing breakfast, we gather at the pier before boarding our own, private motorboat for sightseeing on Lago Maggiore. You choose whether you want to drive yourself or have a tour guide. The destination is the islands of Isola dei Pescatori and Isola Bella.

The noble Borromeo family has, ever since the Middle Ages, had a great influence in the area around Lago Maggiore. These islands have been important to the Borromeo family since medieval times. There is an opportunity to visit, among other things, the palace and the exotic garden (recommended), before it is time for lunch at a nice restaurant (included).

After lunch, we head back to the hotel.
The transfer bus takes into account the recommended SAS flight departing at 20:00 (see more info under the flight info section).
