Det skjeve tårnet i Pisa i Italia - med Expa Travel

This first stage you cycle to Pisa with the famous leaning tower.
You follow Puccini's cycle path which goes through the park, and onwards towards Ripafratta and San Giuliano Terme with its ancient thermal baths.
Then the route continues to an ancient aqueduct from Roman times.
You take this road all the way to Pisa with its historic center. Plenty of time for sightseeing in Pisa.

Here it is perfectly fine to take the train back (with the bikes) to Lucca, this takes approx. 25 minutes.
However, we recommend cycling back for a stop along the way: the old Carthusian monastery and the town of Nozzano Castello. This is an ancient village that has succeeded in retaining its original fortifications. From here you can see the famous walls surrounding Lucca.

Along the way you will have many opportunities to stop and taste excellent local wines & local food (not included).

Montecarlo is a medieval village, known for its famous wines. They are quite different from Chianti, thanks to extensive cultivation of French grapevines, combined with the great Sangiovese grape.

This is a wonderful stage in rural surroundings. To Leonardo Da Vinci's birthplace.

From Vinci, you then cycle back along the country road next to the river Arno. You follow this road further through Montelupo Fiorentino. Here it might be convenient to stop for a bite to eat (not included) before arriving at the foot of Poggio alla Malva. This was once the hunting ground of the famous Medici family from Florence.
A steep climb up towards Poggio alla Malva. Once up, there is a great view of grapevines and olive trees in the valleys below.

We also recommend visiting some of the many attractions Florence has to offer, such as historic squares, buildings, museums, and churches, but also local markets and elegant shops and businesses that have made Florence one of the most important capitals of art and fashion.
