Tuscany for real – behind the wheel of a classic Fiat 500

Day 1Arrival in Tuscany and Villa Rosa

You arrive at the classic, Tuscan Villa Rosa and check in from 15:00. Here, it is easy to get into vacation mode – take a dip in the pool, find a shady spot in the garden, or simply enjoy the silence and the rural surroundings.
Lunch on your own (not included).

Early in the evening, the group gathers for a briefing of the Fiat 500 cars, a calm and safe introduction to the car as well as the route for the coming days. The focus is on comfort, safety, and driving pleasure – so you can lower your shoulders and look forward to what lies ahead.
Starting tomorrow, it will be less about arriving quickly and more about the drive itself. These cars make it easy to slow down and enjoy the journey along the way.

The evening is rounded off with a relaxed aperitivo together – a great opportunity to get to know your travel companions and get into a true Tuscan mood.

Dinner on your own (not included), the guide will gladly share tips for authentic, local trattorias in the area.

Day 2Towards the Sea: The Versilia Coast

The group departs from the villa at 10:00, heading towards the Versilia coast. The landscape changes along the way, from hills and inland areas to coast and sea. The route goes along country roads with little traffic that are great for driving, and there is plenty of time to enjoy both the ride and the stops along the way.

Once at the coast, there will be time for a swim for those who wish, and lunch by the sea (not included). We recommend fresh seafood! Vegetarian and vegan options are also available. Here, you can just lower your shoulders and enjoy the contrast between mountain and sea.

After lunch, the group stops in Pietrasanta, a lively small town known for its marble studios, galleries, and open squares. There is time to stroll around at your own pace, grab a coffee, or just do some people-watching before the journey continues.

The group returns to the Lucca area around 17:00, with time for a swim in the pool and a nice drink before the evening.

Day 3Montecarlo

After breakfast, at 10:00, the groups get into the cars and drive out into the landscape surrounding Lucca. The day is spent on country roads that wind between olive groves, vineyards, and small farms, where the driving itself is part of the experience. The pace is comfortable, and it is easy to let your eyes wander and notice the details along the way.

Today's destination is Montecarlo, a small medieval village east of Lucca, known for wine production and a compact historical center within the city walls. Here we have lunch and spend some time in the streets, with the opportunity to sit down at an outdoor café or wander around before the journey continues.

Return to the villa around 17:00. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure – perhaps a dip in the pool tempting, or an aperitivo in the garden, surrounded by Tuscan nature and the evening sun.

Day 4Garfagnana and the Surrounding Mountains

Today the trip goes north, into Garfagnana, the mountainous region north of Lucca. The landscape changes along the way, with deeper valleys, steeper mountainsides, and fewer settlements. Here you drive in an area that is less visited than the rest of Tuscany, offering a completely different type of terrain and driving.

Along the way, we stop at Ponte del Diavolo (Devil's Bridge), a historical stone bridge with a characteristic shape, before the journey continues further into the mountains towards Barga. Barga is a small town with a compact center, known for its location – high and open, with views over the valleys of the Garfagnana area – and its active cultural life. Here there will be time for lunch on your own (not included) and some time in the streets before the trip continues through the Tuscan landscape.

Return to Villa Rosa around 18:00. The evening concludes with a joint farewell dinner at the villa (included).

Day 5Departure Day

Time for departure. Or… perhaps you would like to spend more days in Lucca or the surrounding area?
