Test trip for Miv & Cat

Day 1Test

Lunch on your own this day (not included). Check-in at the hotel upon arrival, followed by a brief briefing and a short session of test driving the Vespas.
We set aside plenty of time so everyone can sign rental contracts as well as get a practical walkthrough before we head out on the trip.
We also go through rules of the road and how to travel safely in traffic – simple, useful, and quickly done.

When we are ready and comfortable behind the handlebars, we take a short, leisurely evening run to get to know both the Vespa and the area around the hotel.

Later, we meet in the hotel bar for a nice welcome aperitif.
Dinner is served in the hotel's restaurant at 20:00 (included).

Day 2Test

Those who wish can start the day with a refreshing morning swim.
Breakfast and joint review of today's Vespa excursion.

Today, the route goes towards the towns of Baveno and Stresa. From here we turn off and drive up the Mottarone mountain. There will be several photo stops along the way, fantastic scenery! Views of the Swiss Alps to the north, Lago Maggiore and Lago Varese.
After a mandatory stop at the top of the Mottarone mountain, we wind down towards the next lake – Lago Orta. This is an absolutely magical place that attracts many visitors during the tourist season.

We drive almost all the way down to the lake, and park the Vespas to go on foot with sightseeing in the old town. The town's piazza is located right down by the small harbor. Notice the scenery around the lake!

On the way back to the hotel we stop at a very nice restaurant with delicious food and with fantastic views of the whole Lago Maggiore (included).
After lunch, the trip continues down from the mountain and further back to Lago Maggiore. We pass, among other places, the town of Verbania before we are back at the hotel and return our Vespas again.

Opportunity for relaxation on the beach or by the pool before dinner.
Right by the hotel there are nice hikes for those who might want to go for a walk in the mountains just above the hotel.

Day 3Test

Easy morning with the opportunity for a morning swim and some relaxation on the beach before the excursion.
Today, the route is set towards one of the most noble wine regions in all of Italy; Gattinara. At the Travaglini winery in Gattinara, we get a guided tour and lunch with wine tasting (included). Fantastic winery with top wines!

We expect to be back at the hotel in the early afternoon.
Opportunity for a hike in the mountains close to the hotel.

Joint dinner in the hotel restaurant (included).

Day 4Test

The day starts with a morning swim for those who wish.

After a relaxing breakfast, we gather at the pier before we board our own, private motorboat for sightseeing on Lago Maggiore. You choose whether you want to drive yourself, or have a tour guide with you. The destination is the islands of Isola dei Pescatori and Isola Bella.

The noble Borromeo family has, ever since the Middle Ages, had great influence in the area around Lago Maggiore. Since the Middle Ages, these islands have been important to the Borromeo family. There is an opportunity to visit, among other things, the palace and the exotic garden (recommended), before it is time for lunch at a nice restaurant (included).

After lunch we head back to the hotel.
The transfer bus accommodates the recommended SAS flight departing at 20:00 (see more info under the flight info section).
