Cycling tour in the Moselle Valley - from Luxembourg to Koblenz, self-guided

Experience the Moselle Valley on your own – cycling trip from Luxembourg to Koblenz

Cycling through the Moselle Valley – flat terrain, beautiful nature, and your own pace

Beautiful surroundings, low traffic, good hotels, and fantastic wines – this trip gives you everything you could wish for in a cycling holiday! The Moselle Valley is known for its scenic cycle paths, charming small towns, beautiful nature, and some of Germany's very best wines.

You start in Luxembourg and follow the winding Moselle River northwards – through small villages, vineyards, and past old medieval castles – before the trip concludes in historic Koblenz.
The flat, car-free cycle paths offer you a peaceful and comfortable journey, with plenty of time for stops and taking in the sights.
The luggage? It is transported for you from hotel to hotel – so you only cycle with what you need during the day.

Easy, comfortable, and with plenty of time to enjoy along the way

With daily stages of 50–80 km, you have time to take it easy, visit wineries, and enjoy lunch overlooking the vineyards. The route is easy to follow, and you decide the pace yourself.
And the best part? The next glass of local Riesling is never far away.

You cycle on comfortable hybrid bikes with a luggage rack and pannier. If you want a little extra help along the way, you can rent an electric bike.

The trip lasts for 6 days with 5 nights of accommodation.

The nearest airport is Luxembourg, and it is easy to get to the starting point in the city. After the last night in Koblenz, you can easily travel on by train to the airport in Frankfurt.

Who is this trip for

This trip is perfect for those who want a relaxing cycling holiday in beautiful surroundings. The stages are in flat terrain, mostly on cycle paths, and offer pleasant cycling through historic towns and vineyards. Here, the experiences are just as important as the cycling.

With daily stages of 50–80 km, little preparation is required—as long as you are in reasonably good shape and in good health, you can enjoy this trip.

Would you like a rest day to relax, explore on your own, or perhaps enjoy a quiet day by the water? That is, of course, also possible along the way!
