Top 3 mountain adventures in Norway - Romsdalseggen with Rampestreken, Geitfonnegga in Geiranger, and Galdhøpiggen

Galdhøpiggen, Romsdalseggen and Geitfonnegga on one and the same trip!

Top 3 – Norway's most beautiful mountain peaks in 5 days

Over the course of 5 days, you will experience some of the most spectacular mountain peaks in Norway – without the stress.
We start with the spectacular Romsdalseggen (1320 m.a.s.l.) including Rampestreken, move on from the beautiful Romsdalen to Geitfonnegga in Geiranger (1453 m.a.s.l.), and finish the trip on Norway's highest mountain peak – the legendary 2469 Galdhøpiggen.

There will be true nature experiences while we enjoy good company, great local food, and comfortable accommodations. You by no means need to be elite-trained, but it is nevertheless important that you have moved through rugged mountain terrain before, as well as being prepared for a lot of uphill and then downhill walking. Good preparation is always an advantage!

Quick facts about the trip

This is a trip for those who appreciate powerful nature experiences. Over the course of 6 exciting days, we will hike some of the most beautiful peaks we have in Norway.
The view, the sense of achievement, the excitement, and the memories might stay with you for the rest of your life.

With a little preparation, we are convinced that you will have some great experiences.
For the first three nights, we will stay at the hotels Grand Hotel Bellevue in Åndalsnes and Hotel Union in Geiranger. Both offer great service and all comforts. The food is just as important as the surroundings.
The last night we will stay at Juvasshytta – with fantastic views towards Norway's highest mountain peak.

You drive your own car

You drive yourself to the start of the trip in Åndalsnes and travel by your own car between the different places we visit. On the arrival day, we meet at the hotel in Åndalsnes, at 19:00, for a cozy, joint dinner.
On the departure day, you choose your own departure time. Maybe you want an extra peak hike since you are already in the fantastic mountain range around Jotunheimen National Park.

Day 2Hike to Romsdalseggen

Nydelig utsikt fra Romsdalseggen | Expa Travel

We start the day with a cup of coffee and enjoy a good breakfast at the hotel before taking the local bus to the start point for Romsdalseggen (approx. 20 minutes bus ride, included). One of the world's most beautiful mountain hikes.

We move upwards for the first 1-2 hours and enjoy the view of, among other things, the Trollveggen with its sharp peaks. We find a good place where it is sheltered, and eat the self-made, packed lunch (included). If we are a little lucky, we can enjoy our food right on the edge of the ridge, with front-row seats to some of Norway's wildest mountains such as Romsdalshorn, Kongen, and Dronninga. And not least the beautiful Romsdalsfjord.

On the way down, in the steepest section, we reach Rampestreken – the viewpoint that has become well known from the TV show 'Kompani Lauritzen' in recent years. Here you get a fantastic view of Åndalsnes – a photo at the outer edge of the ramp is mandatory.
The last few hundred meters of descent towards the town and the hotel can be demanding, but it is a super way to end today's hike.

At the hotel, a delicious shower and a well-deserved dinner (included) await you before sleep takes over after a long and memorable day.
