Active holiday in Riva del Garda with Via Ferrata, MTB, hiking, canyoning - on your own

Active trip in Riva del Garda, alt. 1

Active days at Lake Garda

On the northern side of Lake Garda lie the towns of Riva del Garda, Torbole, and Arco.
A fantastic area with huge opportunities for exciting activities, both on water and on land.
Here, you are constantly surrounded by the stunning mountains of the Dolomites, and always close to the beautiful Lake Garda.

We at Expa Travel have been organizing activity trips to this area for several years, and our impression is that everyone travels home with big smiles and memories for life.

On this trip, you will climb Via Ferratas, ride mountain bikes down from Monte Tremalzo, join a summit hike up to Monte Altissimo, and try canyoning down waterfalls in the Ledro Valley. An active trip in beautiful surroundings!

Quick facts about the trip

The following activities are on the program:

Via Ferrata

One of the days we will hike the Via Ferrata on the mountain Cima Capi, of course well taken care of by a local guide. A climbing route that is easily accessible, exciting, and spectacular!
A trip that most of the family can join in on.

MTB down Monte Tremalzo

The next day, the guide picks you up in a shuttle bus that takes you all the way up the mountain Monte Tremalzo, 1,800 meters above sea level. From here, you cycle down along the mountainside on smaller cart tracks and paths, all the way back to the starting point. All the while with an unbeatable view of Lake Garda and the Dolomites in the north.
The trip takes approx. 4-5 hours, so a stop at a mountain hut along the way for lunch is necessary.
You will probably never forget this trip no matter how much cycling you have done before.

Canyoning down the Ledro Valley

After a rest day, it's time for the next adventure. You will be picked up from the hotel for transport to Rio Nero in the beautiful Ledro valley. We are talking Canyoning! Here you put on all the equipment, and then make your way down waterfalls and cascades. You are guaranteed to get wet!!

Summit hike to Monte Altissimo

On the trip's final excursion, you set off on foot up the mountainside heading towards Monte Altissimo. From here, it is easy to get the feeling of "seeing the whole world". Once at the top, a good lunch awaits at Rifugio Damiano.

Relaxation days by Lake Garda

Days 4, 7 and 8 will be days off for relaxation and sun/swimming, or optionally your own activities such as renting a bike, renting a SUP, boat trip, renting a Vespa, shopping, a trip to Gardaland etc. (these activities are not included in the price).
