Tour leader at Expa Travel Norway
Anne Grethe is a qualified assistant professor with a main focus on English and sports. She has worked in primary and lower secondary school for 20 years, both as a contact teacher and team leader, as well as a program advisor and department manager at Adult Education for 9 years. Anne Grethe has always worked alongside many people. She layout excel in leadership, cooperation, delegation, and seeing the individual. Additionally, she is caring, responsible, and extremely social. She also enjoys challenges and stepping slightly outside her comfort zone to 'grow' from the experience! In her spare time, Anne Grethe has always been active and fond of movement/exercise such as football, swimming, strength training, and CrossFIT. But most of all, she is fond of and dependent on summit hikes!! She is probably known for being higher up than down in the lowlands – all year round. She is keen to motivate others to get active, regardless of whether it's uphill or along the flat. All types of activity are better than no activity! She was also the leader of Odda/Ullensvang Turlag for several years, where she, in addition to being a tour guide, facilitated others to get into the mountains through trail marking, cairn building, and cabin operations, etc. She has been a tour guide to Folgefonna, Jotunheimen, and local mountain peaks / areas such as Trolltunga (hiking and Via Ferrata) and the Queen's Trail (Dronningstien). Across all seasons. In 2013, Anne Grethe took a short 'timeout' from family / friends and went on holiday alone to the Dolomites. It was love at first sight – she can never get enough of these mountains! As a result, she has hosted guided tours in destinations like Cortina, Val Gardena, and Bad Gastein as often as she could over the last 10 years. For the past year, she has resided in Spain, exploring what the Spanish mountains have to offer. 'I am constantly pleasantly surprised by this country, the people, the food, the wine, and not least the mountains'. Consequently, she and her husband are staying in Spain for an indefinite period. She holds a first aid certificate, high-altitude safety training, avalanche course certification, and has conducted several outdoor life courses herself (for beginners). In Expa Travel, Anne Grethe works as a freelancer / tour leader. In terms of languages, Anne Grethe speaks fluent English, passable German, and basic French, as well as attempting to learn Spanish. In her private life, Anne Grethe is married to Yngve, and together they have two adult children and one grandchild.
